Phew! What a massive response we’ve had to our Craftathon! We’ve got squares and blankets coming at us from all directions…

I can’t possibly thank enough, all of the people who have been involved in this project – from my wonderful committee / admin team, to the fabulous volunteers who offered to host events, to the people who have been promoting us, and of course those who have been crafting furiously over the last month or so. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the end result of all of our hard work.
Here’s one of my favourite blankets – not that I’ve seen them all yet – and there’s still heaps of sewing up to do…
Because we have hundreds and hundreds of squares to make up in to blankets – we are having a sewing up session at Nancy’s Stitch Studio, 261 Thorndon Quay, Wellington. We will be there on Sunday 4th of October between 1.00 – 4.00pm. Bring you crochet hooks and/or darning needles.
Some of the blankets will need to be bordered and backed with fabric to help them last, so if you’re a sewer and keen to help, please bring your sewing machine and some fabric.
Once again – thanks to everybody for your contributions big and small, every single square is making all the difference!
Look forward to seeing lots of people at Nancy’s on the 4th.
Yours with Love, Compassion and Hope
Maggie
